My Alaskan baby

Some friends of our family gave us this outfit. It didn't have a tag to say what size it was so I was worried that by the time I tried it on it wouldn't fit. I just love this picture, it says Alaska all over it. This is a kuspuk (it is a traditional Yupik over shirt type garment worn by both men and women.) and is a symbol of Native wear up here. We have snow a long time here, but it s a great place to live. It is so pretty here and the people are so nice. I remember when we first moved here Scott couldn't believe that people would say hi to you in the store and would be nice to you. I would not want to raise my baby any other place.
